Singapore's 1exchange announced on July 22, 2026, that UBS Asset Management's uMINT — the UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund Token, an actively managed tokenized money market fund built on the public Ethereum blockchain — is now available for secondary market trading on its platform through a collaboration with CapBridge. The listing gives eligible investors a regulated venue to acquire or transfer uMINT holdings from existing holders, extending access beyond CapBridge's primary distribution channel for the first time.

UBS Asset Management launched uMINT on November 1, 2024, as its first tokenized investment product, built on Ethereum distributed ledger technology to provide institutional-grade exposure to USD-denominated money market instruments. The European Central Bank's Macroprudential Bulletin defines such instruments as funds whose shares are tokenized money market fund shares — issued and recorded as digital tokens on a distributed ledger. UBS's tokenization program, UBS Tokenize, had previously completed a CNH 200 million fully digital structured note in June 2023, launched a live pilot of a tokenized Variable Capital Company fund in October 2023, and executed the world's first cross-border repurchase transaction with a natively-issued digital bond on a public blockchain in November 2023.

1exchange holds a Recognised Market Operator licence granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and describes itself as a Singapore-regulated platform for listing and trading RWA security tokens. Trades on the platform pass through an automated order-matching system with instant settlement. That means the full transaction lifecycle for uMINT — from primary issuance through CapBridge to secondary trading on 1exchange — now sits within a single MAS-regulated jurisdiction.

MAS designated CapBridge, a digital investment platform and member of FOMO Group, as an authorised distribution partner of uMINT at the product's November 2024 launch. CapBridge holds a Capital Markets Services licence from MAS and is headquartered in Singapore. In May 2024, Bosera Asset Management, China Asset Management, and Harvest Global Investment selected CapBridge as international distribution partner for their spot virtual asset ETF products listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. That prior mandate demonstrated CapBridge's established infrastructure for distributing regulated digital asset products across Asian markets — the same capability underpinning its uMINT distribution role.

The July 22 uMINT listing announcement does not disclose the current assets under management in uMINT, the number of existing tokenholders, or the minimum transaction size on 1exchange. The announcement does not specify which investor categories qualify as "eligible investors" for secondary trading, nor does it describe the know-your-customer or accreditation requirements that 1exchange applies to new participants seeking to trade uMINT. The press release does not identify any haircut or collateral treatment applied to uMINT positions, the fee structure for secondary trades, or whether market-making arrangements are in place to support liquidity on the venue.

The immediate concrete effect of the July 22 announcement is that uMINT, previously accessible only through CapBridge's primary issuance process, can now change hands between eligible investors on a MAS-regulated secondary venue with automated settlement. What the announcement does not establish is whether secondary market liquidity will be sufficient for institutional-sized exits, what the eligibility determination process looks like for investors not already onboarded through CapBridge, or when 1exchange intends to publish updated participant eligibility criteria for this specific instrument.
