Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Global Markets on the Solana blockchain, offering 200+ tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, according to the Solana Foundation. Crypto Briefing also reported that the launch includes major U.S. companies and ETFs and expands Ondo’s tokenized securities to another network.

 How the product works

The Solana Foundation said the tokens are backed 1:1 by the real stocks or ETFs held with licensed U.S. custodial broker-dealers. It also said these tokens track total return, which includes price changes, dividends, and corporate actions, and that users can access the assets through Jupiter at launch.

The Solana Foundation added that minting and redemption are available 24 hours a day, five days a week, while on-chain transfers can happen at any time. The Foundation also said the product is aimed at non-U.S. users who want on-chain access to U.S. public markets.
