DigiFT introduces tokenized U.S. equity income fund

Singapore-based DigiFT says it has launched a tokenized U.S. equity income fund on Ethereum. The firm says access is limited to eligible investor categories via authorised intermediaries, while BNY manages the underlying strategy.

DigiFT said it has introduced the “DigiFT U.S. Equity Income Fund” (bEQTY), which it described as an actively managed, tokenized U.S. equity income fund on the Ethereum public blockchain, with distribution through DigiFT and BNY acting as investment manager for the underlying traditional strategy.

The same announcement says the product is only available to accredited, professional and institutional investors, and that investors can access it through authorised regulated intermediaries.

In its disclaimers, the release says BNY and its affiliates are not the issuer, distributor, or placement agent for the fund, and that the fund is not sponsored or endorsed by BNY.

DigiFT’s Singapore entity is listed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Capital Markets Services licensee and a Recognised Market Operator, with custodial services also listed on the entry. BNY has also previously reported work in digital-asset services, including its U.S. digital asset custody platform announcement.

For investors and intermediaries, the practical change is that a tokenized form of an actively managed equity income strategy is now offered through DigiFT under the eligibility limits described in the launch materials.
